Travel Guides … but not as you know them.

In January, I was finally in the right place at the right time to visit the Lifeline Bookfest in Brisbane.

This huge sale of second hand books had me entertained for hours.

I managed to snavel a few travel book bargains, including 2 of the 3 hilarious Jetlag Travel Guides.

Any production by Santo Cilauro, Tom Gleisner and Rob Sitch is guaranteed to tickle your funny bone.20160416_154425.jpg

OWPC: Blanket

This patchwork rug was made with love by my Mum for my 40th birthday. It features photos of me and my family (transferred to cloth), things I love and the 12 Days of Christmas in cross stitch which I made as Christmas cards for family over 12 years. Actually there’s only 11 of them. The quilt was made before the 12th year and I never got around to adding the last one.

Mum passed away a little over 2 years ago, but she lives on in the many beautiful quilts and other crafts she gave to so many people.

OWPC: Heartbeat benches

Jennifer’s challenge this week brought back memories of our trip to England.

We enjoyed sitting on the benches outside in the beer garden

One Word Photo Challenge: Barn

We tend to to call them sheds rather than barns.

We haven’t had a big wheat season for years. I can’t remember the last time this shed saw any wheat. It’s mostly used for hay storage these days.
