Our local produce swap group meets once a month. Everyone brings their excess produce plus there’s books and magazines, preserves and other goodies.
This morning we took lettuce, radish, seedlings, shallots, galangal, zucchini and more. We brought home eggs, vegetables, oranges, lemons, herbs, seedlings, some home made butter and some buttermilk. Oh, and some horse poo for the garden.
When we got home we had buttermilk pancakes for brunch and now the house smells of parsley which I’m drying in the dehydrator.
No money changes hands. Everyone brings what they have and takes what they can use.
